Application Fee - trademarks

When you apply to register your trademark, an application fee is payable. An invoice will be sent to the applicant.

• Application fee including registration for up to 3 classes: NOK 2600
• Additional fee for each class in excess of three: NOK 650

You may renew your registration

Your registration lasts for 10 years. Registration can be renewed every 10 years an unlimited number of times. You will not receive an invoice for these fees, but we will send you a letter of notice ca 2-3 months before your registration expires.

• Renewal Fee for up to 3 classes: NOK 2300
• Additional fee for each class in excess of three: NOK 950
• Additional fee for late payment of renewal fee: NOK 650

Application Fee - collective marks

When you apply to register your collective mark (what is a collective mark?), an application fee is payable. An invoice will be sent to the applicant.

• Application fee including registration for up to 3 classes: NOK 3700
• Additional fee for each class in excess of three: NOK 1500

You may renew your registration for a collective mark

Your registration for a collective mark lasts for 10 years from the date of registration. Registration can be renewed every 10 years an unlimited number of times. You will not receive an invoice for these fees, but we will send you a letter of notice ca 2-3 months before your registration expires.

• Renewal Fee for up to 3 classes: NOK 4700
• Additional fee for each class in excess of three: NOK 1900
• Additional fee for late payment of renewal fee: NOK 1100

Other fees

• Application to alter a registered trademark: NOK 1100
• Opposition against someone else's registered trademark: free
• Request from a third party that the mark be invalidated: NOK 1750
• Resumption fee: NOK 500

An invoice will be sent for these fees.

International registration

• Clearance fee payable to the Norwegian Industrial Property Office for the processing of an application for international trademark registration: NOK 750. An invoice will be sent.
• Other fees due in connection with an international application (Madrid Protocol) are payable directly to WIPO
