1. Why register your trademark?

A trademark is a name, logo or other identifier that identifies your goods and services. If you have a trademark, your customers will better recognise and choose your products again because they differ from your competitors.

If you register your trademark, you will have documentation that you own it, and you may refuse others using a logo or name that is similar to your trademark. Should you end up in conflict, you are stronger with a trademark registration.

A trademark registration can provide you with:

  • a sole right, enabling you to prevent imitation and copying
  • greater value for products and companies, and better access to funding from investors and public authorities.
  • better basis for licensing and cooperation agreements

Your trademark may be the most important asset in your business!
