Ai-Leen Lim

Ai-Leen Lim is the CEO and principal Counsel at AWA Asia. She heads up the firm’s Asia offices, managing its headquarters in Hong Kong and handling all aspects of AWA Asia’s IP portfolio management directly before the Intellectual Property Department. In Beijing, she runs AWA Asia’s wholly-owned Chinese IP consultancy, AWA IP (Beijing) Co, Ltd.

Ai-Leen advises clients on IP portfolio management in China, HK and internationally, with a special focus on brand management and social media matters. She is experienced in contentious and non-contentious trademark, design and patent registration, protection and enforcement matters and IP transactions, as well as advertising, consumer law and related regulatory issues in conjunction with market entry and product promotion, particularly in China.

Ashley Zhao

Ashley Zhao is a partner at Awa’s Beijing office. She is regularly involved in both contentious and non-contentious IP matters and specializes in trademark, copyright, domain name, Internet law and anti-unfair competition matters in the People’s Republic of China.

She has substantial experience in various trademark matters before the national Trademark Office as well as the Trademark Review & Adjudication Board. Additionally, Ashley handles intellectual property transactions and licensing, as well as regulatory matters that affect brand owner’s business operations in mainland China.
