Purpose and legal basis for processing your personal data

When you submit an application to the Nordic Innovation Award, we process the personal data provided in order to register and process the application and to contact you via email or telephone.

The legal basis for our processing of your personal data is Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of our processing prior to the time of withdrawal.

We process the following categories of personal data:

  • Applicant's name
  • Applicant's email
  • Applicant's phone number

Where does your personal data come from?

The personal data originates from you.

Recipients or categories of recipients

We will forward your personal information to the Norwegian jury. In addition, the Nordic jury will receive information about the candidate who is nominated from Norway.

Storage of personal data

The information is stored for as long as necessary for the purpose, and is deleted no later than 12 months after the application is submitted.

Your rights

You have a number of rights in connection with our processing of your personal data:

  • Right to access: You can access the information we have about you, as well as information about why and how we process it.
  • Right to rectification: You can have incorrect information about yourself corrected.
  • Right to erasure: In certain cases, you can have your information deleted before we delete it ourselves.
  • Right to restriction: In some cases, you may have the processing of your information restricted.
  • Right to object: In certain cases, you can object to the processing.
  • Right to data portability: You can
