- Have you checked that no one has the same or similar name as you?
- Have you checked that the trademark has distinctive character?
- Do you know what to sell?
Good to know
- You can choose to log out of the application at any time. Your data will be saved, and you can continue the application whenever you want.
- The application is not available to anyone other than you until it has been submitted to us.
- Once the application has been submitted, the application and all documents and emails related to it are published in the Norwegian Industrial Property Office's register, which is available via our website.
- You can find the application receipt in Altinn.
- All correspondence between you and us during the application process will be done digitally. Letters from us will be available under "My messages" and in your message box in Altinn.
- If you have paid upon submission and everything is in order with your application, you can expect a response after approximately 3 weeks.
- If you do not pay upon submission, you can expect a response after approximately 4 months.
