The following fee changes take effect as of 1 January 2026:
- International filing fee changes from NOK 16 520 to NOK 16 600.
- International novelty search fee changes from NOK 21 510 to NOK 21 460.
For international patent applications filed with the Norwegian Industrial Property Office as receiving Office via ePCT, the following fee reduction applies from the same date:
- Filing of XML files in non character-coded format changes from NOK 2 480 to NOK 2 500.
- Filing of XML files in character-coded format changes from NOK 3 730 to NOK 3 740.
Previous fee changes
With effect from 1 January 2025:
- International filing fee changes from NOK 16 550 to NOK 16 520.
- International novelty search fee changes from NOK 20 880 to NOK 21 510.
For international patent applications filed with the Norwegian Industrial Property Office as receiving Office via ePCT, the following fee reduction applies from the same date:
- Filing of XML files in non character-coded format changes from NOK 2 490 to NOK 2 480.
With effect from 1 November 2024:
- International filing fee changes from NOK 15 630 to NOK 16 550.
- Fee for the number of pages in excess of 30 changes from NOK 180 to NOK 190.
For international patent applications filed with the Norwegian Industrial Property Office as receiving Office via ePCT, the following fee reduction applies from the same date:
- Filing of XML files in non character-coded format changes from NOK 2 350 to NOK 2 490.
- Filing of XML files in character-coded format changes from NOK 3 520 to NOK 3 730.
With effect from 1 April 2024:
International novelty search fee changes from NOK 20 090 to NOK 20 880.
With effect from 1 January 2024:
- International filing fee changes from NOK 15 950 to NOK 15 630.
- International novelty search fee changes from NOK 19 970 to NOK 20 090.
For international patent applications filed with the Norwegian Industrial Property Office as receiving Office via ePCT, the following fee reduction applies from the same date:
- Filing of XML files in non character-coded format changes from NOK 2 400 to NOK 2 350.
- Filing of XML files in character-coded format changes from NOK 3 600 to NOK 3 520.
