Fees for filing PCT applications

Fees in connection with international patent applications are payable to the Norwegian Industrial Property Office as Receiving Office in accordance with the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

Search fee, if international novelty search is carried out by:  
a) Nordic Patent Institute (XN) NOK 20010

International filing fee NOK 13450
   Additional fee per sheet in excess of 30 NOK 150

Fee for issue and forwarding of priority documents, if any
(PCT Rule 17.1(b)), per priority document

Fee reduction for using ePCT or eOlf for filing an international patent application:  
a) Filing XML files in non-character coded format with attachment in for example PDF format: NOK 2020
b) Filing XML files in character coded format (incl. application form, description, claims and abstract) NOK 3030
 
If the above-mentioned fees are not paid within the time limit, or are paid within the time limit but with an insufficient amount, the Norwegian Industrial Property Office will send a request for the remaining amount, in accordance with Rule 16bis in the Regulations under the PCT. A late payment fee is payable, corresponding to 50 % of the amount due. The amount of the late payment fee shall not exceed the international application fee and not be less than the transmittal fee.

   For first applications NOK 12585
