No Isolation takes good care of its brand

"So far, No Isolation has not experienced any copying of the products or misuse of our trademarks. At the same time, this is a continuous threat that we take very seriously."

No Isolation is a Norwegian start-up company, founded in October 2015 by Karen Dolva, Marius Aabel and Matias Doyle. The company tackles loneliness and involuntary social isolation by developing communication tools that can help those affected.

The first tool created was AV1, a robot designed to help children and young adults with long-term illnesses participate in everyday life. AV1 was launched in August 2016, and now helps around 1,000 children in 13 countries.

The second tool, KOMP, is designed to improve communication between generations and family members, regardless of technological skills. KOMP was launched in November 2017. KOMP is now with around 800 seniors, and has almost 5,000 weekly app users.

No Isolation is a thought leader on the subject of loneliness and isolation, and has offices in Oslo and London. They work closely with other businesses, charities and the public sector to develop new products. The production and much of the design has been created with the help of others.

– The users of our products often find themselves in a vulnerable or difficult life situation. We are therefore extra aware of the risk of infringements of our IP rights, as the quality and functionality of our products are crucial for users. We do not compromise and are aggressive in that area. We work closely with users, charitable organizations and public bodies to find solutions to challenges related to social isolation. Having a strategy for securing and enforcing our rights is essential for fruitful cooperation.
